It’s a snow day!! The kids are excited to have an extra day off school, and I was pretty happy to sleep in and not to have to make school lunches this morning 😉 The snow that’s been happen

Natalie Browne It's was a really crazy year for snow here. We usually only get a few flakes. All seems back to normal now, though, lol. Have a great weekend, Petra!
Natalie Browne Thanks so much, Marla!!

Maple Bacon Salmon

Maple Bacon Salmon

This past week, I’ve been busy working on a vegetarian meal plan.

Natalie Browne Thanks Sean! I'm lucky in that my kids are pretty amenable to new dishes, but they definitely need some standby's mixed in. Have a great weekend!!
Natalie Browne Thanks Nicoletta! Maple syrup is just always a great match. I think it would be tasty even without the bacon. Now I'll have to try that next time 🙂

Happy New Year!! It’s January, which means most of us have some resolutions going on, right? Most often, they seem to trend towards healthier eating or more exercise.

Mulled Wine

Last week I crafted. This may not seem like a big deal, except that I don’t craft….or draw…or paint…or really do anything artsy.

Natalie Browne Thank you! It makes the house smell amazing, too 😊
Amanda Orlando This is a great idea! Just leave it in the slow cooker and it'll stay hot, perfect for parties

Toffee Shortbread with Eggnog Drizzle

Toffee Shortbread with Eggnog Drizzle

Toffee Shortbread with Eggnog Drizzle I love Christmas time and I love all the special events leading up to the big day. Of course, that includes the annual cookie exchange.

Judith Graber I too like the eggnog drizzle - might have to use that on other cookies. Thanks for sharing with Fiesta Friday...
Samanhta Love the eggnog drizzle on these cookies! Also, I had a flood of memories come back to me when I visited Scotland as a very young girl (8 or maybe 10 years old) and we went to one of the shortbread manufacturers as part of a tour that we did with my brother's soccer team. Crazy.

Short Rib Ravioli

Short Rib Ravioli with Mushroom Cream Sauce

The only real stumbling block is fear of failure. In cooking you’ve got to have a “what the hell” attitude – Julia Child. I love this quote.

Natalie Browne "Pastalicious" I love that :) Thanks so much, Petra. Have a great week!
Natalie Browne Thanks Marla! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Cranberry Chutney

Cranberry Chutney

This week it seems that Autumn has fully arrived. Though the weather has been a little hit or miss over the past few weeks, the past few days have seen a definite chill in the mornings.

Marla I noticed on the calendar that this coming Monday was Thanksgiving for Canada - Happy Thanksgiving to you. Your recipe sounds delicious and would sure make Thanksgiving or any meal special. It sounds super easy to make too. Thanks for sharing on Real Food Fridays. Pinned & tweeted!
Julie I make my own cranberry sauce and love the combination of the cinnamon sticks and cloves in yours! I'm thankful that this isn't our Thanksgiving week LOL. I'm not ready yet! I am thankful that you brought this amazing recipe to FF and sincerely hope you enjoy your holiday and weekend!

Pineapple Coconut Cream Pie

Pineapple Coconut Cream Pie

It all started with a simple text message: “Hey Dad, what do you want for your birthday dinner on Tuesday?” I was actually wondering what he wanted for dinner, but the reply I got related

Ai @Ai made it for you Beautiful! I'm a sucker for anything coconut. While I'm looking forward to fall and winter, part of me is missing the tropical flavors of coconut and pineapple and mango. I don't make pies often either, but I think I might have to make a big batch of pie crust and keep it in the freezer for all the pumpkin and sweet potato pies coming up :)
Natalie Browne Thanks Angie! I've never been huge on coconut cream pie, but I was really delighted with how this turned out. I'm looking forward to co-hosting this weekend!
