Cranberry Chutney

Cranberry Chutney

This week it seems that Autumn has fully arrived. Though the weather has been a little hit or miss over the past few weeks, the past few days have seen a definite chill in the mornings.

Marla I noticed on the calendar that this coming Monday was Thanksgiving for Canada - Happy Thanksgiving to you. Your recipe sounds delicious and would sure make Thanksgiving or any meal special. It sounds super easy to make too. Thanks for sharing on Real Food Fridays. Pinned & tweeted!
Julie I make my own cranberry sauce and love the combination of the cinnamon sticks and cloves in yours! I'm thankful that this isn't our Thanksgiving week LOL. I'm not ready yet! I am thankful that you brought this amazing recipe to FF and sincerely hope you enjoy your holiday and weekend!

Ai @Ai made it for you Beautiful! I'm a sucker for anything coconut. While I'm looking forward to fall and winter, part of me is missing the tropical flavors of coconut and pineapple and mango. I don't make pies often either, but I think I might have to make a big batch of pie crust and keep it in the freezer for all the pumpkin and sweet potato pies coming up :)
Halibut with spaghetti puttanesca

Spaghetti Puttanesca with Halibut and Grilled Lemons

Have you ever wondered about the history of your favourite dishes and what kind of stories they might have behind them. I do. ALL THE TIME.

Kunstkitchen This is a recipe that incorporates foods that I really enjoy eating. Thanks for the story behind this too. Fascinating = food and amore!
Natalie Browne Thanks, Gloria! It's hard to have pasta without opening a bottle of wine, lol. I agree, though, puttanesca is a perfect wine and pasta meal

Marla Hi Natalie, Wow this gives a whole new meaning to plain salmon although I do love salmon. Sounds so tasty and I can only imagine how crunchy the pistachos makes the topping and how moist the salmon must be. Thanks for sharing on Real Food Fridays. Pinned

Angie | Fiesta Friday Did you know I have 4 blueberry bushes in my backyard, and didn't get a single berry?! Freaking birds!! And I love, love blueberries! Thankfully there's a blueberry farm around here. The bread sounds great, Natalie. And that mint glaze, too 😋

Thai Coconut Curry Mussels

So, it turns out that my 5 year old really likes mussels, like, A LOT. This is a fairly new thing for her.

Natalie Browne Thanks, Liz!
Natalie Browne Haha! When I saw your post a couple weeks back, I had a hard time getting it out of my head, so a seafood feast seemed like the perfect opportunity to make some of my own. I've been very lucky to have kids that are big seafood (and, really, all food) eaters.

Gillespies Fine Spirits

Cocktail Making with Gillespies Fine Spirits

In the past few years craft breweries have been getting a lot of attention.

Natalie Browne I suppose it's not much different than blending flavours together when cooking, but I found it fascinating to watch and, ultimately, taste the creations.
Natalie Browne They really did make some fine cocktails at the tasting :) We've had a huge craft beer boom in the last few years, and it's still going strong. The growth of the distilleries is still a bit new for us, but as more and more people become aware of the amazing products being made so close to home, I think it'll only continue. That distillery tour sounds awesome!
